“Undersea Garden” is a collaborative installation created by Tangled Fibers, an art collective comprised of Barbara, Jean-Marie Tarascio, Pat Herkal, and Cathie Wier. The group’s work was exhibited at the Fine Arts Center in Port Angeles, Washington, from September-November 2020. Individual pieces within the installation ranged from large art quilts (Barbara) to tiny beaded nudibranchs (Pat); from handmade paper and wire sea fans (Jean-Marie) to intricately woven ocean waves (Cathie). A smaller version of the installation appeared at the Grover Gallery in Port Townsend in Spring 2021 as part of an Earth Day-themed fiber art show.
